Asheville is known to be an eclectic town, and we are proud to offer and eclectic array of events that most anyone could find something to enjoy. Coming up next weekend is the Firefly Gathering, a gathering meant for the human in all of us. Offering a vast selection of classes and workshops on how to live independently, this gathering covers such subjects as bow making, brewing, scouting and camouflage, tanning, fire building and more and more. Firefly Gathering is a family event- there is something for everyone (even a kid's schedule) here, and a great experience for children to see that people are still interested and living on their own terms, as well as an experience for them to learn how to be more self- sufficient.
