History Comes Alive at the 66th Annual Asheville Antique Fair

Antiques aficionados will not want to miss the 66th Annual Asheville Antiques Fair from November 2nd through 4th in Asheville, NC. The event is held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at One Resort Drive, which is accessible from the Westgate Plaza exit off of I-240. Whether you're seeking a particular antique piece or browsing for the discovery of a lifetime, the Asheville Antiques Fair can get you looking in the right direction.

Over 60 years of history

Now the oldest antiques fair in the South, it has become a nationally-recognized fundraising occasion. The Vetust Study Club directs proceeds from the antiques fair toward area organizations and foundations, having contributed more than a half-million dollars to charitable projects benefitting the greater Asheville-Buncombe County community.

In support of historic preservation
Asheville’s unique historical and cultural landmarks owe a big thanks to the founders of the Asheville Antiques Fair, who annually select a worthy cause for restoration or renovation. Beneficiaries have included the Pack Place Education, Arts, & Science Center, the Thomas Wolfe Memorial house, and the Smith-McDowell House Museum, the oldest surviving house in Asheville and one of the earliest homes in the county. Funds from the 2012 Asheville Antiques Fair will aid with repairs for downtown's Grove Arcade, which is in need terra cotta restoration on the building's exterior.
